A Wellness SolutionCBD (Cannabidiol) is one of over 85 cannabinoids that are found in the cannabis plant. It is also found in abundance in Hemp plants. CBD is non-psychotropic and will not cause a 'high'. Hemp-derived CBD has significant health benefits and has been used for centuries in Asia. CBD has become more readily available and research is focused on the benefits of a variety of health concerns and wellness.
CBD interacts with the endocannabinoid system, which is a regulatory network found in all mammals and is known to boost neurological and immune systems.
Our CBD solution uses whole plant hemp extract, providing all the benefits the plant has to offer. The compounds within hemp work synergistically, enhanicing each compounds individual effect. This is known as the Entourage Effect.

Frequently Asked
QuestionsQ: What Is the Endocannabinoid system?
The Endocannabinoid system is an integral part of the endocrine, neuro and immune system networks. This network helps send messages in response to mood, inflammation, pain, stress response and immune function. The body already produces it's own cannabinoids however the 'phytocannabinoid' derived from Hemp, can activate the same receptors in the body having similar or even stronger effects than those produced by the body. There are potentially as many as 65 different receptor sites within the body.
Q: What is CBD?
CBD is the shortened term for Cannabidiol which is a non-intoxicating component of the cannabis and Hemp plant. Research is being conducted on the effects of CBD on a wide variety of conditions including pain, PTSD, insomnia, anxiety, dementia and more. CBD has a strong anti-oxidant, anti-inflammatory, anti-depressant effect as well as neuroprotective qualities.
Q: Is CBD legal?
As long as the CBD is derived from Hemp and contains less than 0.3% THC then the product is legal in all 50 states. There is no restriction to the purchase of these products.
Q: Are whole plant extracts better than isolates?
Whole plant CBD extract is rich in oils and compounds that provide a complementary and synergistic effect. These products work better than single molecule CBD or THC alone.
Q: Will CBD affect drug tests?
Most drug tests screen for THC and not CBD. Full spectrum hemp plants may contain traces of THC and therefore could cause a positive result in blood or urine specimens if the compound is taken in high doses.
Q: Does CBD interact with other medications?
At doses of less than 150mg per day, it is unlikely for interactions to occur. They can potentially with the cytochrome P450 system so use caution when using CBD with anti-seizure and blood thinning medications.
Q: There are CBD shops everywhere, why would patients buy this from me?
Many patients are uncertain about the safety or side effects of CBD and gain comfort in recommendation and purchasing products from their HCP. Many CBD products are manufactured in less than perfect processing. You can be confident in recommending your products to patients due to the rigorous testing and assurance of your manufacturer.

School was starting to get to be a lot to handle – between homework, finals, work, and having to get to class, my anxiety was through the roof. I was told that HillTop might be able to help surpress some of the feelings I was having and it did! I’m able to do all of my school work, have a job, and I’m able to do it with less anxiousness and more focus.
